You have to do a service on the 690 Enduro R every 10000 km (6200 miles), at which point you change the oil and filter, clean the oil screens, change the air filter and fuel screen, and check the valve clearances. You also need to change the oil and filter annually if you don’t do the distance in that time.

The bike was primarily used on the track. I went out a couple of weeks ago when it was 80 degrees F. Bike overheated on the expressway.
7. Took the battery box out again and checked / wiggled all the wires and the bike did not cut out any. Went through all the wires all the way through from front to rear of the bike. There are very many wires, more than I ever would have expected on a bike like this.
You can replace the OEM filter with a Napa Gold 3011 fuel filter. Inspect all of the lines for folds and kinks. Since everything is just sort of stuffed up into the tank, the lines tend to kink, and you can have gas flow problems. I braced a kink with auto fuel line, 3/8" ID.
